Season Hiatus

For the forseeable future, the Busch Series has been removed from G2 Auto Racing. Both Lincoln and Frank decided to focus all the energies of G2 Auto Racing on the Cup Series and look forward to a tremendous year.

June 24th: After 84 attempts, FBG Racing's Paul Menard won his first Busch Series race after holding off captain Kevin Harvick as well as J.J. Yeley and Denny Hamlin during numerous restarts to win the AT&T 250 in his home state at the Milwaulkee Mile on Saturday. Menards win will cement plans to run a full-time Cup schedule next year, but FBG Racing CEO and founder Frank Gordon hopes to see him in Victory Lane a few more times this season. Posted by Picasa

May 27 - Celtic Racing captain Carl Edwards notched his first win of the year on Saturday when he held off Casey Mears at Lowe's Motor Speedway for the Carquest Auto Parts 300. Posted by Picasa

May 5 - FBG Racing's Busch Team captain Kevin Harvick claimed his third win in the last four races on Friday by taking the checkered flag in Richmond at the rain-delayed Circuit City 250. Posted by Picasa

April 21 - FBG Racing's Busch Team captain Kevin Harvick won his second consecutive Busch Series win Friday night when he stayed up front through several late cautions and a green-white-checkered finish to win the Basha's Supermarkets 200 at Phoenix International Raceway. FBG Racing CEO and founder Frank Gordon was quoted as expressing his pride and enjoyment that Harvick "seemed to be gaining some serious momentum." Posted by Picasa

April 15th: With 52 laps to go, FBG Racing Busch Team captain Kevin Harvick took the lead in the Pepsi 300 at Nashville, and held off Griffin Motorsports alternate Clint Bowyer to take the checkered flag. This was Harvick's first win of the 2006 Busch Series Season, and his first race at Nashville Speedway since 2001. Posted by Picasa

March 25th: With Griffin Motorsports Buschwacker Greg Biffle experiencing a tire problem late in the race, GM captain Kyle Busch was able to hold of the charges of FBG Racing captain Kevin Harvick to win the Sharpie Mini 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday. Despite a significant mid-race delay due to snow, Busch easily took his car to the front, and recorded his first Bristol win. Posted by Picasa

February 25th: With 15 laps to go, Griffin Motorsports's Greg Biffle held of hard-charging Celtic Racing teammates Ryan Newman and Carl Edwards to win the Stater Bros 300 in Sonoma, California. Biffle's win marks not only the first win for Griffin Motorsports, but the first for G2 Auto Racing drivers. In addition, it marked the first race of the season in the NASCAR, ARCA and IROC series that did not end on a green-white-checkered finish. Posted by Picasa
