August 31 - G2 Auto Racing Busch teams were allowed their final team trade sessions this afternoon. FBG Racing offices were buzzing, as CEO Frank Gordon added Tony Raines to his list of drivers, filling the hole left when Shane Hmiel was suspended from NASCAR earlier this year. In addition, Raines was promoted to primary status, while rookie Jon Wood will go to the alternate list. No changes were made to the other G2 Auto Racing Busch Series teams. 

August 6 - Griffin Motorsports captain Martin Truex, Jr. scored his 6th win of the season when he took the checkered at Indianapolis Raceway Park on Saturday night during the rain-spattered Kroger 200. On the final sprint during a green-white-checkered finish, Truex held off team member Clint Bowyer and FBG Racing Captain Reed Sorenson to go to victory lane.
